Privacy Policy
Last updated October 25, 2026
The short version
- We collect your email, your mobile number, the choices you make when you join, and the flower (health topic) you pick.
- We use them to run Clary and send you what you signed up for. We never sell your information or use it for ads.
- Our site has no cookies, ad pixels or analytics trackers.
- Your flower is private health data. We never sell it, and we use it only for purposes you explicitly agree to, one at a time. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy covers it.
- You can see, fix or delete your information anytime by emailing privacy@getclary.org.
Who we are
This policy explains how [Clary's legal name, e.g. Clary Health, Inc.] ("Clary," "we," "us") handles personal information when you visit our website, join Clary, or get our emails and texts. Clary is for adults in the United States.
What we collect
What you give us
- Your email address and mobile number, when you join.
- Your choices: that you agreed to our Terms and this policy, whether and when you asked for marketing texts, and which version of our sign-up wording you saw. We keep these as a record of your consent.
- Your flower, if you pick one. Each flower stands for a health topic, like perimenopause or thyroid health, so we treat it as consumer health data. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.
- Anything you send us, like an email to our team.
What's collected automatically
When your browser loads our site, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs: your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages and files requested, and when. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure, and they're deleted automatically within 30 days.
After you pick a flower, our site keeps it in your browser's session storage so the welcome page can show it. It stays on your device and is erased when you close the tab.
We don't use cookies, analytics trackers, ad pixels or social media plug-ins. Our fonts and images come from our own site, so visiting Clary doesn't tell other companies you were here.
When we add features
When we add features like completing your profile, commenting or signing petitions, we'll tell you what we collect before you share it, and we'll update this policy.
How we use it
- To create and run your membership, including checking that sign-ups come from real people.
- To send you emails about Clary: health news, perks, events and updates about your membership.
- To send you marketing texts, only if you opted in.
- To choose the news and perks we show you, based on the topics you picked (with your consent).
- To keep Clary safe, for example by stopping spam, fake sign-ups and abuse.
- To follow the law and enforce our Terms.
We don't sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We use your health data only for purposes you've explicitly agreed to, and we ask separately for each one. Any review of your membership is done by a person on our team, not by an algorithm.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that run parts of Clary for us and may use your information only to do that: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (our database), and the services that deliver our emails and texts.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or when it's needed to protect someone's safety or Clary's rights.
- A new owner, if Clary is merged, acquired or sold. This policy would still apply to your information.
- Anyone else you ask us to.
Your mobile number stays with us. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live in the US, you can:
- See the personal information we have about you and get a copy.
- Fix anything that's wrong.
- Delete your information and your membership.
- Withdraw a consent you gave, like for texts or for your flower.
- Stop marketing emails with the unsubscribe link in any of them. We may still send you messages about your membership.
- Stop texts by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help.
To ask, email privacy@getclary.org from the email address you joined with, or tell us the mobile number you joined with. To protect your information, we may confirm the request by email or text before acting on it. Someone else can make a request for you with your written permission. We'll answer within 45 days, or tell you within that time if we need up to 45 more. It's free, and using these rights won't change how we treat you.
If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer. We'll respond within 45 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general.
How long we keep it
- We keep your membership information while you're a member. If you delete your membership, we delete your information within 45 days, and copies in our backups are deleted as the backups roll over, within 30 days after that.
- If you opt out of texts or emails, we keep your number or email on a do-not-contact list so we don't message you again.
- We keep records of when you opted in or out for as long as we need them to show we followed the law.
- Our host's technical logs are deleted automatically within 30 days.
How we protect it
Our site uses HTTPS. Member information is kept in a database that only our server can reach, and access is limited to the people on our team who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
Children
Clary is only for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger, and if we learn we have, we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll email you before it takes effect, and we'll ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
